In 2007, SUM and United Way of Central New Mexico sought out to change the way people think about giving. Our goal: to introduce giving as an act that anyone can be a part of and feel good about. The creative approach was to develop a "product" called Giving. The vibrant colors and message position giving as something tangible and familiar to a consumer culture. The new approach opened many doors to new ways people can be introduced to the act of giving.

In 2007, we were awarded the account for United Way of Central New Mexico (UWCNM) to produce their new advertising campaign. We started with the desire to introduce a new season of giving and change perceptions of what it means to give to charity. We wanted to encourage the act of giving by expressing the fact that it's enjoyable. Giving is a wonderful thing! It's not sad or uncomfortable. It's fun and awesome! We created the concept for a series of ads for Windmill Ridge at Rancho Viejo--a neotraditional community located in Santa Fe, NM. The assignment was to increase awareness and differentiate Windmill Ridge from the competition, resulting in sales. The look and feel was to be hip, distinctive, modern, compelling, and avoid cliche real estate advertising--all while maintaining a feeling of traditional southwest living.
